This is a list of ideas for possible poems. It's really supposed to be called "Brainstorming" but storms are way too mild to describe what I hope goes on in here.
Places I should talk about:
- shopping in Inner Mongolia with Mongolian script on street signs; like, come on, I struggle with reading Chinese already and now you do this to me?
- shopping mall in Beijing
- school in Inner Mongolia
- the view from my aunt's window
- Paris (never been there)
- growing up on the U of M campus
- the suburbs
- my future home when I'm an adult on my own
Other ideas:
- let's finish a jigsaw puzzle of a polar bear in a blizzard while blindfolded
- my mother's ESL class and how I'm like 70% sure that her teacher is teaching them the wrong pronunciation of the word "often"
- the fear of one's own life becoming one huge cliché

- lines of songs stuck in my head (and how will I write this poem without getting sued)
- the fear of ice water turning yucky and lukewarm after an afternoon of tennis practice
